Rat Oxidation Ligament Articulation Workshop 10/18/25 12pm-6pm
Would you like to learn how to articulate a skeletal specimen at home? Who wouldn't?! In this workshop each person will be oxidizing a rat specimen obtained as frozen feeders. This includes flensing and gutting a specimen, if this is not something you want to do, this is not the class for you. This is small tedious work that you will be able to replicate at home. One rat will be issued per person. We will be working with mild chemicals, please do not wear contact lenses as we will adhere to chem lab safety protocol. Needed PPE will be provided. Wear comfortable clothing that you don't mind possibly being stained. There will be a one hour meal break around half way through the class. Bring a notebook and pen so you can record the process in your own words for later use.
This class is scheduled for 6 hours, some people may finish early, choose to work through the meal break or need a little more time.
10/18/25 12pm to 6pm.
